End of the road

I've heard and read many explanations for why Romney lost, I heard that it was part hurricane, part media scumbaggery, part lies, part Christie hugging someone, Romney didn't do this, someone in his campaign said that, war on women, the moderators, should have relented on abortion, didn't go after obama hard enough [that was me too] etc, etc.

Look, it doesn't matter, he could have done everything right and it's clear he'd still lose. I've heard some say that a few gains were made, democrats didn't get everything, triangulate this way, slither that way, reach out to women, bring in the lesbians, in four years time, something about widening a tent, etc, etc.

Part of it was obama, the guys still selling a sack of shit, but he's a tremendous salesman, but I personally believe that the hard truth is that the people don't want Conservatism. Small government, lower taxes, taking care of your own troubles, working and keeping more of what you worked for etc is just not good enough. We don't want the party to end. I know it's not everyone, but it's enough.

I had a bitter chuckle when I heard him waffling on about the founding fathers and what they wanted, sorry but the majority of Americans have decided that the constitution is just some irrelevant old scroll kept somewhere. The list of failures is long, obamacare shoved down their throats, 16 trillion and counting in debt, unemployment biting at every turn etc, etc, this was their last chance to take a stand, but no line was formed or held.

The excuses and reasons would only be valid if obama and Romney were new candidates. We have to accept that Americans have had 4 long years to make up their minds, 4 years later and they still did not reject it. The only conclusion is that they want more.

We cannot deny them, they should get what they want.

There's talk of - in four years time - sorry to burst the bubble folks, this was it, this was the last chance to turn back, to live within your means, to grow up, to return to sanity, return to true freedom and liberty. It's gone now, smoke into the wind. KG from Crusader Rabbit said it best - a priceless birthright, squandered and betrayed. Pity they don't even know what they've lost.

I feel so terribly sorry for those of you who know what you've lost. You know what you've lost, you know what your children will never have. My advice - teach them to survive and to fight when the need arises, the future is going to be a hard place, perhaps far sooner than any of us have imagined.

I don't know of any country that willingly embraced socialism and freedom killing big government and then turned back from it, especially one that has a 16 trillion dollar anvil around its neck and is still led by he who brought it on. The republicans can come back hard and fast in 4 years, the only thing they'll be able to do is run the socialist machine more efficiently. Sorry, it's a one way road going down the hill.

You will never be truly free again. From now on you'll only be fighting one losing battle after another, your speech will go, your guns will go, you will become subjects, just like the rest of us. It is always the fate of those who do not really want freedom and no longer understand it, they will be ruled as they wish.

Maybe I'm not seeing something, perhaps Americas founding fathers have thought of this, perhaps there is a way out, I don't see it though and I'm not betting on it.

On that sad note, it's time to close this place down, thank you for your support over the years. For taking the time, for fighting the good fight, it's been a hell of a ride, an honor and a privilege. I still hope to catch up with those of you who are still around.

I wish you well, may God bless you.

Nothing left to say

As the elections in America draw closer, I'm finding that I don't have anything to say, it's just seems pointless now. What needs to be said has been said, obama's record is there for all to see. People have had 4 years to make up their minds.

I hope people have seen him for what he really is and refuse to vote for him. America needs Romney now but it's up to Americans to see it and want it. If they stick with obama, well good luck to you, you will need it. In a way it'll be a good thing because obama will have to clean up the shit he's created by himself, people can prattle on about - yes we can - and voting for obama is like - losing your virginity - all they want, but you'll have to pay back the money he has spent. It's just a fact of life and not even America is immune from such things.

It'll be painful, jobs lost, lives ruined and there will be much gnashing of teeth, and it'll all be directed at obama. Then again the democrats and their media lapdogs might turn it around and blame it all on the Conservatives anyway, the pain won't be any lesser though.

If Romney fails to win, I'll be happy for him knowing he and his family has just escaped 4 years of hate and bile for cleaning up the shit left by the tweener president.

It's a similar thing here in Australia, no matter how much shit our socialist prime minister creates for us, the Conservative opposition is hated and loathed far more. The western world has crossed into this weird era where the responsible adults are hated and scorned for trying to pay the bills, keep the house clean and balance the budget.

Meanwhile the drunken tweeners whoring themselves and selling off the family silverware to keep the party going are celebrated, loved and everything else.

You may have heard of this song - Tell me lies, sweet little lies.... - that phrase pops into my head when I hear of a new poll saying that some leftist politician or party is doing well in the polls. It's like we don't want to hear the truth, we want to hear the lies and bullshit being spun around us.

It's a wonder there are still a few adults around willing to take on the thankless job of cleaning up.

Anyway I'd better stop now, I did say that I had nothing left to say and here I am going on and on.... :)
